Make Friends.Have Fun, Gain skills and confidence

We are a small friendly Gymnastics club established in May 2017 based at Forest Moor School, Menwith Hill Road,Darley HG3 2RA just a few miles from Pateley Bridge and Harrogate. Due to some structural problems with these premises , we are temporarily operating from Nidderdale Leisure Centre in Pateley Bridge, and Harrogate Grammar school

We cater for girls and boys from 4 to 16 from Nidderdale ,Harrogate, Wharfedale, Ripon and beyond. Many new starters don't know anyone and we help them to make friends .

All gymnasts work through our rainbow awards scheme, learning skills over all pieces of apparatus- floor , 2 airtracks, trampette, competition size bars, beam and vault. Parents can track their child's progress via our app, and receive tips and instructional videos tailored to their child's next step

.We are registered with British Gymnastics and have adopted all its policies and procedures.

In accordance with best practice, parents are welcome to watch as many or as few sessions as they wish. There is ample free parking

    will my child be safe?

Lead coaches have passed UKCC coaching qualifications at level 2 & 3 involving both written and practical coaching exams.

Assistant coaches have takenLevel 1 courses and have been trained and externally assessed on their ability to develop basic skills and safely support gymnasts.

We follow recognised progessions and physical preparation appropriate for each skill.

All adults are DBS checked and undergo regular safeguarding training.

Our equipment is safety checked by the equipment manufacturer every year

Although we take all reasonable and recommended precautions, gymnastics because of its physical nature carries an inherent risk .Injuries can occur in any gymnastics setting.

We have a welfare officer separate from the management of the club.If you feel a safeguarding issue cannot, or is not, resolved by an informal discussion with John or Dorothy, then please talk in confidence to our trained welfare officer, Beth Downie
